If this sounds interesting, then we would like to present you with the “Team Building” program from the package “Experience Tours of Český Krumlov”...

Program description

Group preparation
Before the event, the competing group receives a website address where they can pre-study basic information on Český Krumlov. The text is presented in Czech, German, and English. Don't worry, this is only about 2 pages of text :-)

The “School by Play” begins
The group gathers on the town square to meet their guide. The guide is dressed in historic costume. The group divides into maximum 5 competing teams. From this point on, the competition will take place against the background of the beautiful and mystically illuminated UNESCO town.

Did you forget to do your homework?
If you did, don't despair. The questions don't contain any difficult historic information. Team champions who paid a bit of attention during history in school still have a chance. Each team draws one question. The question deals with basic historic information that the participants were to have read during the preparatory phase. The team presents their answer after conferring with all its members, and a correct answer means one point for the team.

Don't miss your tour of Český Krumlov
Since you've already taken the trouble to get to Český Krumlov, it would be a pity to miss out on a tour of the Old Town – indeed, it was ranked as the 16th most beautiful tourist destination in the world by National Geographic magazine. The tour is sure to draw you in as your guide combines a competitive spirit with a classic historic tour of the Old Town throughout the entire program.

Don't let the architecture intimidate you
Český Krumlov is known as a living textbook of Medieval architecture. Don't worry, your guide won't wear you down with a detailed breakdown of petty differences between Neo-gothic and Pseudo-gothic – instead, you'll quickly learn how to recognize the difference between the basic architectural styles with plenty of live examples. The town square seems to have been built for just this purpose. Team champions should pay sharp attention to the guide's talk, the information will soon come in handy.

An architectural joust during the walk
During a stroll through the Old Town, the teams will take turns picking “team questions”, trying to name specific architectural styles at selected buildings. The rule is simple: one building, one team, one question, one answer. The correct answer earns the team 1 point.

Bonus questions to keep you on your toes
At certain locations, your guide will pull out a “bonus question” for the entire group. These questions are thematically-based, have nothing to do with architectural styles, and anyone from any group can answer. Answer the question correctly and win a point for your team.

Will there be a penalty play-off?
At the end of the route, the guide will announce the team with the most points. Should it happen that more teams have the same number of points to tie for first place, the penalty play-off is held. The guide presents a thematic “guess question”. The team who guesses the closest is announced the winner and gains the grand prize for the victor.

Victory prize
The prize for the winning team is a bottle of select luxurious champagne from the Alsace region of France.
